{"id":49,"date":"2021-07-13T16:39:29","date_gmt":"2021-07-13T16:39:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hpcfusion.bsc.es\/?page_id=49"},"modified":"2026-09-15T10:20:35","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T08:20:35","slug":"2nd-spanish-fusion-hpc-workshop-2021","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hpcfusion.bsc.es\/2027\/","title":{"rendered":"main"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\">7<sup>th<\/sup> Fusion HPC Workshop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear Colleagues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is our pleasure to host the <strong>7<sup>th<\/sup> Fusion HPC Workshop<\/strong> as an online event <strong>on <strong>February 23-24, 2027<\/strong>.<br><\/strong><br>This workshop follows the virtual <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hpcfusion.bsc.es\/2026\/\">6th Fusion HPC Workshop<\/a><\/strong>, which took place on February 24-25, 2026, and attracted more than 500 participants around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Energy and particle transport&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi-physics modelling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plasma turbulence and related transport processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plasma hydrodynamics including linear, nonlinear and\/or extended MHD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plasma instabilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edge and plasma-material interactions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heating, fuelling and current drive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laser-plasma interactions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fast particle physics and burning plasma issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scenario development and control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fusion reactor materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fusion reactor technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop will be conducted in English and is<strong> open to all. <\/strong>The programme will feature keynote, invited, and contributed presentations, offering attendees a comprehensive overview of the current state of fusion HPC research worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once again, early career scientists will have the opportunity to receive feedback from expert reviewers and be recognised for outstanding presentations.
