The journal has been published by the leading society publisher IOP Publishing since 1984, with net income going directly to the Institute of Physics, helping to support research, education and outreach around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Why publish?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Publishing in the Focus Collection offers authors the opportunity to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Publish research in a leading journal dedicated to plasma physics and fusion research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase the visibility and impact of work presented at the workshop.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to a collection showcasing the latest developments in HPC for fusion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reach the broader international fusion and computational science communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Benefits of Focus Collection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Focus Collection papers are statistically more highly cited and downloaded than regular papers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accepted papers quickly enter open Focus Collections along with regular PPCF content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Published papers automatically collect on the Focus Collection\u2019s landing page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Primary research papers, Review articles, and\/or Letters can be submitted to Focus Collections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Focus Collection reflects the scientific scope of the Fusion HPC Workshop and welcomes contributions across the broad field of HPC in fusion research, including: numerical modelling, plasma physics simulations, engineering applications, AI and machine learning, digital twins, software development, workflows, and emerging computational technologies supporting fusion science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Submission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following each edition of the workshop, invited participants are offered the opportunity to submit a manuscript to the Focus Collection. All submissions undergo the standard peer-review process of Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion.
