PPCF Focus Collection: Publish your work in Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion
After each Fusion HPC Workshop edition, selected contributions of the workshop are invited — by mutual agreement — to submit a manuscript to a dedicated Focus Collection of Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion (IOP Publishing), a special issue built specifically around each edition of the workshop.
Since 1959 Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion (PPCF), has been dedicated to all aspects of plasma physics research and discovery and the technology that plasma research relies on. The journal has been published by the leading society publisher IOP Publishing since 1984, with net income going directly to the Institute of Physics, helping to support research, education and outreach around the world.

Publishing in the Focus Collection offers authors the opportunity to:

Scope
The Focus Collection reflects the scientific scope of the Fusion HPC Workshop and welcomes contributions across the broad field of HPC in fusion research, including: numerical modelling, plasma physics simulations, engineering applications, AI and machine learning, digital twins, software development, workflows, and emerging computational technologies supporting fusion science.
Submission
Following each edition of the workshop, invited participants are offered the opportunity to submit a manuscript to the Focus Collection. All submissions undergo the standard peer-review process of Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion. Submission guidelines and deadlines are communicated after the workshop.
Previous Collections
The Fusion HPC Focus Collections have been published since 2020 and document the rapid evolution of computational methods and supercomputing in fusion research.
